Let’s try Japanese traditional calligraphy together !
The lecture will be taught by Mrs. Genpo Fukushima who is a famous Japanese calligraphy artist.You can learn the fundamental techniques of calligraphy skills and make your own art work.It’ll be fun and this is a good opportunity to learn about Japanese culture and the beauty of calligraphy.

■ Limitation on number of people

■ Materials
We will provide text, Japanese writing paper, brush, ink and other utensils for calligraphy writing.
You can write on a UCHIWA (Japanese traditional round fan).
■ Lecturer introduction
Mrs. Genpo Fukushima is a Japanese calligrapher who participates in calligraphy field actively not only in Japan but in many other countries. She has won numerous awards through those exhibitions.Not only does she hold calligraphy seminars in Japan, she has also been invited to lecture in foreign universities such as the University of Amsterdam. In the recent years, she has conducted demonstrations and calligraphy workshops in “New Zealand Japan Day” and other Japanese cultural events in other foreign countries.
